Calibration Blocks

All calibration blocks are supplied with Traceable Certification. Third party UKAS Certification can be supplied at an extra cost.

Calibration Block No.1 (V1)

A steel block for the calibration of ultrasonic flaw detection and inspectionv1 Block equipment used in material testing. Used for the calibration of shear and logitudinal transducers, determination of shear wave emission point, refracted angle. Also for measurement of sensitivity and resolution.

Formerly known as V1, but now manufactured to EN 12223.  Major differences: no perspex insert and the through drilled hole is now 3mm instead of 1.5mm.

Calibration Block 2 (BS EN 7963)

For the ultrasonic examination of welds. To check angled transducers, for no2 blockbeam angle and index point.

Formerly known as V2, but now manufactured to      BS EN 7963. Major differences: the target hole is now 5mm only.
